Thanks to our integration with Microsoft Office collaborative suite, we enable the use of SharePoint in our signage solution. In just a few clicks, connect your SharePoint to Comeen Play and start broadcasting information from it easily and to everyone.
Connecting your Microsoft account to Comeen Play
In the menu on the left side of your screen, click on the name of your space and choose the tab "Integrations"
Once on the Integrations page, click on the blue button 'Connect account" at the top right of the page.
Select the Microsoft Driver option in the integrations list that appears.
Click on Connect.
Once your account is connected, click on Save.
Create a SharePoint data source
In the menu on the left side of your screen, click on the Data Sources tab and then click on "New data source".
From the list appearing on the right side, click on "SharePoint Site news".
In the settings that open, in the bar below "Account" select the Microsoft account you previously created.
Then select the Site from which you are getting the information for this
Once everything is set up, click on the button Save.
Once created, your data source looks like a board such like the one below.
Using SharePoint information into a template
Once your data source is created, you can use it in our editing tool called Designer.
To access it, click on "Designer" in the right menu. When on this page, click on New Template.
Give your template a name and click on "Save".
This will open the Designer and offers you to start from scratch or to use one of the models we created for your comfort.
In this example, we are using a model to gain time and show you how easy it is to connect your information.
Once your model is picked, select one of the components by clicking on it and reach the data source option on the right side.
After clicking on the data source icon, select the data source you want to import data from.
Then select the corresponding column for each element of your template (title for the title of your presentation, thumbnail for the image, etc).
If you have several lines of information, you can choose which line's information you want to broadcast.
Once your template is updated with the information you need to broadcast, do not forget to save it by clicking on this button.
Broadcasting your template
Once your template is created, select a playlist or create one, then click on the button "Add content".
Then choose the template content.
Select the template you created and choose the number of pages you want to broadcast.
Keep in mind that using multiple pages allows you to display the next news items. For instance, if your template displays the news from line 1, and you choose to broadcast 3 pages, the second page will display the news from line 2, and the third page will show the news from line 3
Congratulations, you just added to this playlist your template fed with SharePoint information.
