How to Set Up Comeen on a Crestron TSS-70

This guide will help you set up Comeen on a Crestron tablet, utilizing a laptop for configuration through the device's interface.

Pre requisites

• • The Crestron tablet requires a single Ethernet cable for both power and data connection.
  • Once the Ethernet cable is connected, the tablet will automatically power on. 
  • The Crestron needs to be connected to the same network as the laptop you will use for the setup. 

Step 1: Access the Tablet Interface via Laptop

1. Access Setup Screens:

   • To access the setup screens, place five fingers on the display and hold for 15 seconds until the main Setup screen appears.

2. Find the Touch Screen IP Address:

   • • Ensure the touch screen is connected to the network. 
     • The Setup screen shows the IP address

   

3. Access the Interface via Browser:

   • Enter the touch screen IP address into a web browser on your laptop to access the web configuration interface. 

   

Step 2: Configure Tablet Settings via Laptop

1. Create an Admin account:

   • Follow the on-screen instructions to create an admin account if prompted. This may involve setting up a username and password for future access to the configuration settings.

2. Set the time zone:

   • Navigate to the settings section

   • Ensure the date and time settings are correct to avoid any synchronization issues.

3. Review other settings:

   • Go through the remaining settings in the interface to ensure everything is configured according to your requirements.

   • Select Save Changes from the Action menu

Step 3: Install the Comeen Application

1. Access the application tab:

   • In the same Settings tab, find and select the Application section.

2. Select Application:

   • Enter the following URL to download and configure the Comeen application: https://display.dynamicscreen.xyz/golem/?model=crestron-tss
   • Select Save Changes from the Action menu

3. Install the Application:

   • Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the Comeen app on your Crestron tablet.

4. Restart the Tablet: 

   • Once the installation is complete, restart the tablet. 

5. Run the Comeen App:

   •  After rebooting, the Comeen application should automatically run. Verify that it launches and operates as expected. You should see a pairing screen like this one :

Step 4: Associate Crestron with your Comeen Account

1. Log in to Comeen:

   • On a computer or mobile device, log in to your Comeen interface at https://login.new.play.comeen.com

2. Navigate to Displays:

   • Go to the Displays section and click on "Associate a player".

3. Enter the Code:

   • Enter the code displayed on the Crestron tablet screen to associate it with your Comeen account.

4. Finalize Setup: 

   • Confirm the association to complete the setup. You are now ready to deploy your meeting room signage.
