Because you probably don't want to train your employees on a new tool, Comeen Play allows you to create content from Google Slides, Docs or Sheets and display it on a digital signage screen.
In Comeen Play, you have two options to show a Google Slides document:
-
The preferred option will play an image of each Slide. It will play well on a slow connection and keep playing even if your screen is offline.
-
An option that includes the animations. It won't play if your screen is offline, and this content is streaming so it will consume bandwidth every time the content is shown.
We recommend using the first option most of the time as it is more reliable!
Preferred option
One-time action: You need to link a Google account to Comeen Play so that we can download the Google Slides: Setup a Google account
Once your Google account is set up, you will find the Google Slides content in the content list when you click "Add content" in your playlist.
1. Click on the "Add content" button, then select "Google Slides" in the "Google Workspace" category
2. In the "Broadcast static version" tab, select the "Use a Google account" option. Select your account in the dropdown list, then choose your Google Slides document by clicking on "Select a Google Slide from Google Drive"
3. Finally, click on "Save" and the Google Slide will start broadcasting on your screen in a few minutes!
Please note: Every time you update your Google Slide, synchronizing on your screens will take a few minutes.
Option 2: with animations
If you want to keep animations or animated GIFs, please refer to this article.
Please note: This option will let you keep the animations but will consume some bandwidth every time it is shown and your document won't be broadcasted if your screen is offline.
If you don't have a Google Account connected to Comeen Play, you can also use the option to share your Google Slide read-only with share.play@comeen.com
Every time you add or remove Slides from your Google Slide, it will take a few minutes to synchronize on your screens.
