Google meeting rooms work with two main access rights:
- viewing meeting rooms and events information
- being able to modify those information
If you are an administrator of the Google console - with full access rights to meeting rooms - you are able to grant access to other colleagues that are not equipped with sufficient rights.
As a consequence, if you are someone looking for an upgrade of your access rights to a meeting room, you will need a colleague that has these admin rights on the concerned meeting room.
Indeed, when looking at a meeting room calendar's permission settings as an administrator, you can manage how meeting rooms are accessible and who is allowed to use them.
To access these settings, an account with Google console admin rights and full access to Google resources is necessary.
On Google Calendar, look for a meeting room resource and add it to your calendars.
Go to the bottom of your screen and next to "Other calendars" click on the "+" button.
Click on "Browse resources"
Select the associated building then click on the concerned meeting room
Once added to your calendars, click on the settings button next to the resource name
Click on "Settings and sharing"
From this page, you can manage access and permissions.
You can see above that an administrator can either manage the access permissions for the employees of the company, or manage them at a smaller scale : for a group or an individual.
Besides, the administrator is able to limit or increase those access rights according to the situation's needs.
Once the access rights are granted, the person/group will be able to use the targeted meeting room into Comeen Workplace.
