Comeen Workplace uses time zones to display dates and times correctly and to send notifications at the right time for each user.
Setting a time zone in Comeen
Users can set their time zone directly in their profile:
Settings → Preferences → Time zone
The selected time zone is used to:
Display dates and times in Comeen
Schedule and send notifications
Time zone synchronization with the Google add-on
When a user is using the Comeen Google add-on, the time zone is automatically synchronized from Google to Comeen.
The time zone is taken from the user’s Google Calendar
If the time zone is changed in Google Calendar, the update is synchronized to Comeen when the Google add-on is used
The synchronized time zone automatically updates the value shown in MyComeen → Settings → Preferences
Information: Synchronization is one-way only. Changes made in Google Calendar update Comeen, but changes made in Comeen do not update Google Calendar.
Default time zone
If a user:
Does not use the Google add-on, and
Does not manually change their time zone
The default time zone is set to Europe/Paris.
