SOLUTION

Is there a limit to how much media can be stored in the library?

No, there is no storage limit.

Is there a limit to the amount of media in a playlist?

No, however it is recommended not to make playlists too long if you want the content to be relevant. Digital signage is a medium where people pass by, so short and impactful content is needed.

Is there a maximum number of screens that can be managed by Comeen Play?

No, you can manage as many screens as you want with Comeen Play, and organise them according to their location, use, or content with the screen groups.

Can we split the screen into different zones?

Yes, using the screen masks in the Designer (our built-in editing tool).

Can I broadcast TV channels?

Comeen Play is not natively designed to broadcast TV channels, and most of the time the display screens are not designed to do so.You can however broadcast a web link of a live TV (be careful to pay the audiovisual fee).

Can I broadcast videos with sound?

If the screen has speakers, yes.Nevertheless, this is not recommended in places where people are continuously near the screen (e.g. company reception).

Is the media streamed through the player/screen?

No, to avoid consuming bandwidth they are stored locally (downloaded once to the player/screen at the first broadcast).

HARDWARE/NETWORK

I already have players or screens on my digital signage system, can I reuse them with Comeen Play?

Chances are yes 👍 Comeen Play is compatible with many OS: ChromeOS, Android, Windows, Tizen from Samsung. However, remember to check if the hardware is not obsolete. Compatible hardware

What speed do I need to send content to my screen?

There is no minimum data rate, the higher it is, the faster your content will be delivered to your screen. The other parameter to take into account is the stability of your connection (the more there are micro-cuts on the network, the longer it will take for the content to arrive on the screen).

Are there any particular network settings I need to make to make my screen or player work?

2 network ports to open: 80 and 443. Don't worry, they are generally already open for your daily use.

Does my screen or player need to be connected to the network? Wifi or wired?

Yes, this is an essential prerequisite for digital signage. To control your screens remotely, and send them content, they must be connected to the network so that you have access to them. Wifi or wired, it depends on the hardware you have selected. Today, most hardware (player or screen) has both. Wired is still the most stable connection.
