Create a calendar data source

Updated yesterday

A data source enables you to import external data into your Comeen Play space, which can then be utilized within your templates and broadcasted in your playlist.

For instance, a calendar data source would be beneficial for displaying a room's booking schedule on your screens.

Please note: In this guide, we will demonstrate how to set up an online calendar data source using Google Calendar. However, this method can be applied to any calendar that is shareable and publicly accessible, whether online or in iCal format for imported calendars.

First, you'll need to obtain the shareable iCal link for your calendar. Here's how to do it on Google Calendar:

Click on the three dots next to your Calendar.

Option 1: Online calendar

Using the Online Calendar method ensures that your data source is automatically updated regularly.

1. Make sure your calendar is publicly available in the "Access permissions for events" section.
