Comeen offers a powerful feature to control the availability and visibility of your files within the library. By setting release and expiration dates, you can automate when a file becomes accessible and when it should be removed from kiosks and playlists.
This feature is particularly useful for time-sensitive content, such as promotional materials, announcements, or seasonal updates.
In this guide, we will walk you through how to define a file's availability timeline.
Steps to Define Availability and Expiration Dates
Open your library and navigate to the file you wish to manage.
Click on the options button, typically located next to the file name.
From the dropdown menu, select 'Expiration date' .
In the pop-up window, enter the desired release and expiration dates and times.
Click 'Save' to confirm your changes.
What Happens on the Defined Dates?
On the release date: The file will become visible in the kiosk and activated in playlists where it has been incorporated.
On the expiration date : The file will automatically be removed from the kiosk and deactivated in playlists using it.
This automation helps maintain an up-to-date and relevant content library while eliminating the need for manual oversight. Use this feature to efficiently manage your file's lifecycle and focus on other tasks.
