A digital signage player serves as the central hub for your digital signage setup, functioning as the brains behind your display. It operates as a specialized computer that links to your chosen display device, whether it's a television, monitor, or similar screen, and plays the content generated through your Comeen Play space.
There are different types of digital signage players available, each running on a specific operating system (OS) like ChromeOS, Android, Windows or Linux. These operating systems have their own strengths and weaknesses
It's worth noting that certain professional screens, such as Samsung SSSP displays, come equipped with built-in capabilities, eliminating the need for an external player.
How does it work?
- Importing or creating content: On your Comeen Play space, you craft your digital signage materials or import them directly from your computer or online drive. This enables the creation of playlists, incorporating videos, images, text, and the scheduling of content playback.
- Connection to the player: Comeen Play establishes a connection with the digital signage player via the internet.
- Content Download: The player retrieves the content from your playlists.
- Content Display: Once downloaded, the player showcases the content on your digital display, adhering to the predetermined schedule set within your playlist.
In essence, the digital signage player acts as an intermediary between the digital signage software (Comeen Play) and the display screen. It receives the content you've designed and ensures its presentation on the screen according to your specifications.
