Comeen Play provides advanced user management options for efficient space partitioning.
Roles
Roles allow you to define user permissions. Permissions define the right to perform a given action or not. For example with the management of playlists.
1. Firstly, to create a new Role, navigate to the "Roles" page as shown below.
2. Click on "Create"
3. Name the new role and specify the permissions for users.
By default, there are two basic roles on Comeen Play:
-
Administrator: Users with this role have all permissions, granting access to all resources.
-
Standard: Users with this role are granted 92 permissions and can only access authorized resources.
You have the flexibility to modify these roles at any time or create custom roles: Learn more about managing rights with user roles.
When creating a new user, you can assign the role of your choice.
Access rights
Access rights allow you to manage access to different resources (screens, playlists, news feeds, folders, widgets...).
When creating a resource, an "Access rights" field allows you to select the people or groups of people who have access to this resource.
By default the access right is given to everyone.
You can add multiple people and groups to the same resource
User groups
User groups allow you to define access rights more easily.
A user belonging to a group will automatically inherit the access rights of that group.
For example, user groups like Marketing, Internal Communication, and South West Region can be employed to streamline access permissions.
To create a user group you can follow the documentation: Create an user Group
