What Are Content Variable Parameters?
Content Variable Parameters provide a way to create templates with dynamic elements. These elements can be customized for each instance of the template when added to a playlist. Instead of editing the design manually each time, you can define certain properties as adjustable, ensuring consistency and saving time.
Static vs. Dynamic Templates
By default, texts, images, and videos added to a template are static. This means the content remains the same every time the template is used. If you want to update the content, you'll need to revisit the designer interface to make manual changes.
Dynamic templates, however, allow specific elements to be customizable while keeping others fixed.
In this example:
-
Customizable elements : Employee photo, name, and job title.
-
Fixed elements : Company logo, background, static text, and properties like size, color, and font.
Making Elements Customizable
-
Select the desired element in the template.
-
Navigate to the Content Settings tab in the properties panel.
-
Provide a title for the property. Use a descriptive name to make the value easily identifiable.
-
Set a default value for the property. This ensures a fallback option if no customization is applied.
Using Content Variable Parameters in Playlists
-
Add the template to a playlist.
-
Modify the Content Parameter items for that instance of the template.
-
The changes will apply only to that specific instance, leaving the original design intact.
With Content Variable Parameters, you can streamline your workflow, maintain consistency, and easily adapt templates to fit various needs. Start creating dynamic templates today and unlock the full potential of your content management!
