How to set up Comeen on an Iadea device

Introduction

Setting up your IAdea device is a straightforward process designed to efficiently integrate your digital signage solutions.

This guide will help you connect your device to the network, configure essential settings, and manage your devices through IAdeaCare for optimal performance. There are two ways to set up your device: via the IAdeaCare Console for remote management, or locally on the device for direct, on-site configuration.

Setup Instructions

Power On and Connect to the Network:

  • Turn on the IAdea device.

  • Connect the device to a network using either Ethernet or Wi-Fi. For Ethernet, simply plug in the cable. For Wi-Fi, navigate to the device's settings and enter the network credentials.

Option 1: Set up via the Iadea Console

Step 1: Enable Remote Monitoring:

  • Access the device's settings by clicking on Advanced.

  • Go to System > Remote Monitoring.

  • Enable the Remote Monitoring feature. This will provide a pairing code.

Step 2: Creating the policy in the IAdea Console:

  • Connect to the IAdea console.

  • Go to the Policy tab.

  • Click on + Add.

  • Enter a name and choose Configuration as Policy type. In the Configuration drop-down menu, select Appstart and Timeserver.

  • By clicking on the AppStart tab, enter the URL of the Comeen application: https://display.dynamicscreen.xyz/golem/?model=iadea

  • Enable options such as Trust, Force Web Application Mode, Grant Request for Runtime Permissions, Grant Request for USB Permissions, and Clear Web Cache on Session Start.

  • Now, click on the Time Server Setup tab and configure the server settings to ensure time synchronization. You can choose customized and use time.google.com, for example.

  • Finally, you can choose which group of devices the policy applies to.

Step 3: Device Registration:

  • Go to the Registration tab.

  • Click on + Add new device.

  • Enter the device name and pairing code, then click Add Device. You can also add the device into a group.

Step 4: Add License Application:

  • Go to the License tab > Device.

  • Select the device and click Add Licence.

  • Enter the license code provided by IAdea to activate the device.

Option 2: Set up on the device

  • Click on Advanced. Leave the rest of the input empty. Toggle on Trust and Clear Web Cache on Session Start.

  • Click on Set and wait for the app to start or reboot the device.

Run the Comeen App:

  • Once the Iadea device has restarted, the Comeen application should automatically run. Verify that it launches and operates as expected. You should see a pairing screen like this one:

  • On a computer or mobile device, log in to your Comeen interface at https://login.new.play.comeen.com

  • Go to the Displays section and click on "Associate a player".

  • Enter the code displayed on the Crestron tablet screen to associate it with your Comeen account.

  • Confirm the association to complete the setup. You are now ready to deploy your meeting room signage.
