Introduction
This guide explains how to place your areas on your floor map. By importing your floor plan and drawing areas directly on it, you can visually organize your spaces for easier navigation and management.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
A floor and Areas already created in your Building.
A floor plan image (PNG, JPG, or similar) ready to import.
The necessary permissions to edit floors and areas.
Steps to Place Areas on a Map
Open the building page
Navigate to your floor and click “Areas”.Import Your Floor Plan
Click “Import Background” and select the floor plan image you want to use.Add a New Area
Once the background is uploaded, click “Add Areas”.Choose an Area
Select the area you want to place.Draw the Area on the Map
Use your cursor and left-click to place your first pointset.
After the third point, your area is created.
You can continue adding as many points as you wish to sculpt the shape of your area.
To delete a point, place your cursor over it and right-click.
Once you are satisfied, you can click Finish.
To modify, delete, or move an area, click on it.
To move it: click again and hold the button, then drag the area wherever you want.
To modify it: left-click on a point and drag it to adjust the shape.
To delete it: click on Delete.
