When implementing our meeting room integration, it's crucial to ensure that specific access rights are in place for your meeting rooms. Essentially, we require two permissions:
- Synchronization Permission: Grant permission for meeting room synchronization from Microsoft 365.
- Calendar Synchronization Permission: Authorize synchronization of meeting room calendars.
The account used to authorize our integration with your Microsoft 365 admin must have both reading and editing rights for all the meeting rooms that will be equipped with our tool.
It's important to note that the email address and name of the account used to grant access to our integration will also be used for sending notifications to individuals when their meeting room is automatically released.
Therefore, we strongly recommend using a generic address rather than a personal one to avoid associating a specific colleague with the process.
Granting Global Admin Privileges
To facilitate this process, the account used in Microsoft Entra ID must be granted Global Admin privileges. This will enable it to edit all resources and room calendars within your Microsoft 365 workspace.
Here's how to grant Global Admin privileges:
1. Log in to your Microsoft Azure dashboard.
2. Access the Microsoft Entra ID dashboard either through the homepage shortcut or the side menu.
3. From the left menu, select "Users"
4. Search for the dedicated user you have previously created and click on it.
5. Select "Assigned roles" from the side menu, then click on "Add assignments"
6. Select the "Global Administrator" role, then click "Add"
Once these access rights are granted, the account will be able to effectively utilize the targeted meeting room in Comeen Workplace.
