Ghost meetings are the number one problem when it comes to the meeting room experience.
Comeen helps you get the most out of your meeting rooms by setting up a check-in/check-out/release workflow.
You have various options for checking a meeting room:
- Google Chat/Slack notification: you check-in from the notification.
- Room reservation tablet: check-in directly from the tablet.
- QR code: scan the QR code to check-in.
All these options can be combined to ensure that your users never forget to register.
We're introducing a fourth way to check-in your meeting room, and it's probably the best!
Comeen can now detect whether you're joining a Google Meet call from a Google Meet device and automatically register your meeting room.
You'll receive a confirmation in Google Chat, or Slack, like this:
Slack:
You have no excuse now! 🙂
How to setup Google Meet hardware check-in
You need to be an administrator on your Google Workspace tenant.
- Connect to the Google Admin console
- Go to Domain Wide Delegation
- Click on "Add new":
- In the Client ID field enter: 115777282843893092068
- In the OAuth scopes enter: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/meetings.space.readonly
- Click on "Authorize"
That's it, now Comeen is able to detect when your users are joining a Google Meet call from a Google Meet hardware and automatically check-in your meeting rooms.
