This guide walks you through the complete installation and configuration of Comeen Play on a Sony BRAVIA professional display using Pro Mode.
Step 1: Download the APK
Download the Comeen Play APK (link coming soon, contact our support in the meantime) and save it to a USB drive.
Step 2: Prepare the Screen
Plug the USB drive into one of the available ports on your Sony professional screen.
Step 3: Switch to Pro Settings Mode
Before installing the application, the screen must be in Pro Settings Mode to allow administrative changes.
Complete the initial Sony setup (Accept policies and define power-saving settings).
Crucial: Ensure the screen is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. An active internet connection is required for the application to function and sync properly.
From the Home menu, navigate to Pro Settings.
A "Select Mode" pop-up will appear; select Pro Settings Mode.
Confirm and grant access to any apps requiring system permissions.
Step 4: Configure IP Control and PSK
To allow Comeen Play to control the screen (power, volume, etc.), you must set up a Pre-Shared Key (PSK) on the display.
Go to the TV's Settings > Network > Local Network Setup > IP Control.
Enable Authentication and set it to Pre-Shared Key (PSK).
Define a PSK (this key must be between 16 and 20 characters). Note this key for the next step.
Step 5: Install the Comeen Play APK
Navigate to Pro Settings > Install APK.
Select the Comeen Play APK from your USB drive.
In the installation pop-up, select Install, then choose Open once the process is complete.
Step 6: Finalize Comeen Play Setup
Open the Comeen Play app and click Begin Installation.
When prompted, enter the PSK you defined in the previous step.
Grant all requested permissions required by Comeen Play.
An "All Good" confirmation screen should appear.
Step 7: Enable Auto-Launch on Startup
To ensure Comeen Play starts automatically whenever the screen is turned on:
Go to Pro Settings > Initial Input Source.
Select Android App.
In the dropdown menu, choose Comeen Play.
Click OK on the left side of the screen to save your changes.
Step 8: Final App Activation
As per Sony’s professional recommendations, ensure the app is fully enabled within the Pro menu:
Go to Pro Settings > Apps.
Select Comeen Play.
Set it to Enable.
Step 9: Switch to Pro Mode
To finish the installation and lock the settings for daily use, you must activate the final Pro Mode.
In the Pro Settings menu, click on Pro Mode.
Confirm the switch. The screen will now operate in its protected professional state, with Comeen Play running as the primary interface.
