Introduction
This feature is designed to simplify collaboration within complex organizations. By integrating multiple Google and Microsoft tenants into a single Comeen space, you can now consolidate all your users, meeting rooms, and desks, regardless of their original domains.
Imagine a single space where every employee, whether working on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, can easily find colleagues, book a meeting room, or reserve a desk. This unification of systems eliminates silos and enables seamless, intuitive collaboration.
How does it work?
Setup in Comeen
Comeen provides an integration system that allows you to grant access rights to the platform. These rights can be configured via a service account or application permissions, enabling Comeen to securely synchronize your resources.
Once these access rights are granted, Comeen can retrieve and manage your various resources, such as users and rooms.
In a multi-tenant setup, you can connect multiple accounts or applications to synchronize resources from different tenants.
Note: You can connect multiple Google and Microsoft accounts simultaneously, so you are not limited to a single provider.
Resource Synchronization
Once your integrations are set up, you can now use them to synchronize:
your buildings,
your meeting rooms and their calendars,
your users.
Example with meeting room synchronization
The application prompts you to select one of your Google or Microsoft integrations in order to synchronize your rooms and their calendars.
Once the synchronization is complete, you will find all your meeting rooms from all your tenants in a unified list. You can, sort them by tenant, building, floor… But most importantly, you have the same configuration options available, regardless of the tenant or provider used.
End-User Usage
From the Comeen applications, all users regardless of their tenant and whether they use Google or Microsoft can book a meeting room or desk synchronized in the platform.
They can make reservations for all resources in the Comeen space using the following applications:
My Comeen
Comeen Google Chat
Comeen Teams app
Comeen Outlook Add-in*
Comeen Slack app*
*Note: Our Outlook add-in does not allow booking Google rooms. However, it is possible to book rooms from different Microsoft tenants.
Additionally, only rooms that allow booking by an external tenant can be reserved.
Here are the configuration prerequisites for your rooms:
AutomateProcessing = AutoAccept
AllBookInPolicy = True
ProcessExternalMeetingMessages = True
This configuration can only be applied to rooms involved in multi-tenant booking.
*Note: It is only possible to link one Slack workspace per Comeen space.
